Our classes

We are fortunate in 2025 to have secured as our teacher Madame Catherine Pourreau, a native speaker of French and a talented, experienced educationalist.
Each term comprises eight French lessons over eight weeks with a native speaker in a convivial atmosphere at Kent House, Faulkner St, Armidale.
Fees are $180 per term.
All classes are at Kent House, Faulkner St, Armidale.
Beginners Monday 5:30 to 7 pm
Intermediate Tuesday 5:30 to 7 pm
Advanced Wednesday 5:30 to 7 pm
All terms begin one week after school goes back and end one week before school finishes.
Term One 2025 began in the week of Monday 10th February and ends in the week of Monday 31st March.
Term Two from the week of Monday 5th May to the week of Monday 23rd June.
Term Three from the week of Monday 28th July to the week of Monday 15th September.
Term Four begins in the week of Monday 20th October to the week of Monday 8th December.

All classes are held at Kent House in Faulkner Street from 5.30 to 7.00pm. Please feel free to try a class in order to determine your level.
The Alliance commits to a full year of rent, insurance, salaries etc. Our mission is to provide a high quality environment for the learning of French and the enjoyment of French culture and civilisation. A strong financial foundation is essential in order to achieve this mission.
Beginners means just that – please come along whether or not you have learned any French before!
If the term has already started, pro rata arrangements can be made for the fees for students new to the Alliance. Please email us if you wish to make an enquiry (alliance.fr.armidale@gmail.com).
